Anyone have this problem? Its been happening to me with the past several driver revisions.
I'm using a Fury X gpu.
Did you click 'apply' at the top of the page?
Using Afterburner, Trixx, Asus, etc controls?

Nah I'm not using any 3rd party tool. So that is ruled out. And I don't see a "apply" at the top of the page. In fact I've never had that, I could just turn it on and off and it would stay at what ever setting I wanted.
Power Efficiency is turned off automatically when I make changes to the individual cards (power settings, Core/Memory Clock, etc). If you're running your card at default settings and turn on power efficiency it should stay on.
So IF you want power efficiency to stay "On" - go into the Global WattMan tab(s) and click on reset. Do this for all your cards if you have more than one.
I believe this worked!!!!!! Thank you!
Actually it just turned off again. I can't figure out why. Hmmm
'Apply' does not appear until you make a change....that's the only setting you have to click apply with. Confusing.
Power Efficiency is located in global settings not wattman. There is no apply in the global settings tab afaik. But none the less the problem has been solved. I appreciate you taking the time to try to help Mr.Fish!
Just try to launch with Admin relive and it should do the trick
I have shortcut (just in case) on desktop for it: right click and run as admin
this doesn't make difference in my case. it looks like it kept change to ON but after check few hours of using pc (gaming, firefox, mpc etc.) is setting back to OFF for no apparent reason.
if you have chill turned off it will most likely do that.
I have same issue for months now on RX480 .. power efficiency keeps turning off for not apparent reason.. seems like bug
