i cant update Radeon (TM) RX 480 Graphics something about AMD Display Driver
Did you follow each step removing and installing the drivers?
Did you stop any anti-virus/anti-anything before trying to install the drivers?
Error 1603 – A General Error Has Occurred During the Installation of the AMD Software Package
INFORMATION REQUIRED WHEN POSTING A QUESTION
I normally try to keep to myself, but you literally couldn't be any more vague.
I supose that you trying to update drivers from windows update... use DDU in safemode to remove everything that you have from AMD and install the proper ones from the AMD website support.
i cant open DDU
I have a MSI Radeon RX 480
this is what the report shows me its the only thing that fails
AMD Display Driver
Final Status: Fail
Version of Item: 22.19.662.4
Size: 90 Mbytes
Are you open the DDU in safe mode of windows? its the only way to remove the drivers properly
try install new versions of drivers after, in the full package, dont use the minimal setup.
I can't open DDU
try the "AMD Clean Uninstall Utility" in the normal running windows or in safe mode, or try from the setup driver and choose clean install... full package
and that is strange that you cant run DDU, are you even running pc from that graphic card?
And how would I get to that??
Found it thank you
I will do that to see if it works, but if it doesn't is there another way
of doing it??
yes, just make sure that you have your system updated, then you can try the "Driver Booster" from IObit, and update everything that tells you to update, this software is not only for your graphic car, its from global drivers.
When I opened up amd clean uninstall utility and start it it seems to go
until a warning pops up and say "unable to open log file for writing" I
then press "OK" and it opens up again
Use DDU instead of the AMD cleaner. It must be run in Safe Mode after you have uninstalled the old drivers.
Uninstall the old drivers using the computer control panel > 'uninstall a program' > choose AMD and uninstall everything:
Reboot in to Safe Mode > run DDU and let it restart your computer.
Install the new drivers (full version, never 'minimal setup') >
Does it matter which one I download
V18.104.22.168 and down
and do i just go to the website for that??

You download the full version....NOT the "minimal version" latest version for your computer > Desktop
Previous versions > Previous
