This isnt a rant or anything... actually a pat on the back to AMD...  I was very reluctant to do this after I purchased a rx480 last year and wasnt impressed with it or Wattman..  Lets hope Vega changes my mind even more.....

      I was running an I5-6600k@4.5ghz

      I just built this

      AMD Ryzen 1700@3.7ghz  $269

MSI B350 Gaming Pro Carbon (beta bios1.51) $119

Zotac 1080 amp edition $600 about 6 months ago.. had this in the I5-6600k rig

Gskill ddr4-3200 (cas16-16-16-36 timings) booted using xamp profile 1 the first try.. $114

      Samsung 950pro m.2 drive, 250gig  $107

Samsung 850pro ssd drive, 250gig  already had it

      Corsair 110i aio $124

      Phanteks Enthoo Pro-m case $69

Evga 750g2 power supply, got it for what I think was about $90 6 months ago..

3 Noctua 140mm fans 2intake fans in the front, 1 out the rear.. $75

Props to AMD for the Ryzen lineup the 1700 is a Great value and Great performer.. I got my 1700 at Newegg on a flash sale for $269..This is a bargain price for this much cpu..

Bench marks, I'll add more as I get them.
