I am a CG special effects division, why AMD 1800X in RealFlow and naiad settlement particularly slow, and even slower than AMD II 1055T 4 to 5 times, what is the reason, how to solve?
Under File -> Preferences -> Simulation, I assume you have "Use OpenCL-CPU" selected for the tests? It's pretty much the same as per project when you click the green "Simulate" button at the bottom right of the screen. Try specifically setting this in general preferences and restart the application. If you've previously tried to run a simulation and you make general changes, it does not always apply until the RF is restarted.
Again, the question remains - your Windows installation is FULLY updated, all drivers etc? What kind of hard drive are you writing it to (and are chipset drivers etc updated as well)?
I just ran that EXACT simulation (with OBS recording as well - which is CPU intensive):
Update your drivers and OS, ALL the way please.

Pease provide the essential INFORMATION REQUIRED WHEN POSTING A QUESTION with your question.
sorry i am english is vrey poor
my cpu is amd rayzen amd system is win10
asus moterboaro prime x370 pro
gpu is amd Firepro W5100/4GB/128bit/
Power Supply Unit Make, Model is 500w
what is the reason slower than amd II 1055T？
Right off the bat, your Power Supply seems very low for this configuration.
You have also not provided any information on
System BIOS versionGPU driver versionHard drives
Application details and version
and how are you comparing the performance of the Ryzen vs the Athlon ?
first my english is vrey poor,i hope you know my mean
Athlon II 1055T is my old computer and new computer is rayzen 1800X .
the two computer gpu alike ,as same amd Firepro W5100/4GB/128bit/ for the computer gpu!
my old computer the system is win7 and new system is win10 for the rayzen 1800x but i dont know why rayzen 1800X in realflow and naiad
simulation is vrey vrey slower! my old computer( Athlon II 1055T) than faster for the 1800X .but 1800X Rendering is
vray faster than old computer( Athlon II 1055T) in the max and maya! why simulation the warter slower in realflow and naiad!
this situation exceed me morn people alike in around !even though upgrade the new bios no OK! what the reason~ i hope
your(AMD) can any test for the software! thank you.....
Please see my previous post, you have not provided any of the information requested.
so! now i am show the test for you . now two computer the system alike win10 - version(14393) bios is -version(0850)
because is the warter simulation in realflow ! it main take effect from the cpu in computer! is dont GPU ! so the GPU unimportance!
please look under the pitrure!
this is my old computer AMD II 1055T the test- time just 3:10(3 minutes, 10 seconds) but the new computer need 15:00 (15 minutes)
now i am closed the GPU driver ! the test time sitll 3:10, you know ! it work from CPU in realflow to simulation ! dont GPU !
OK! look ~under the test this is new computer -ryzen 1800X ! the test- time is so long 15:00 in the realflow . oh~ my god !
Many people have the above situation make the ryzen-CPU- to cg work ！ dont just me ~
Please provide a screenshot of CPU usage in your older system while rendering.
And I will ask you one last time to provide complete system information, including :
System BIOS version
GPU driver versionHard drives
Application details and version
The first thing you need to do is go to www.amd.com/drivers and download and install the drivers for your GPU.
You are currently running drivers from 2015.
Thank you for your offer ! i am updated the news GUP driver to support the hard！ but still the old question~ no any change！
i think the point dont the gpu drives！
A few things first. Unless you don't specifically have Realflow render through the CPU, it will be on the GPU(s). In which case you NEED to have your drivers updated. For your old version of Realflow, you NEED to be at least in driver releases from late 2016. Either way, you're saying that you're trying to render through the CPU and that it is slower. Correct? Try the Benchwell test on BOTH systems and compare the results. Benchwell is also a product by Nextlimit, but it should give you a better idea of what your hardware is like, but more importantly, you are eliminating the chance of an application level bottleneck (Realflow 2015 and your demo).
OK !see the test~
now i am closed(stoped) the GPU driver on AMD II 1055T !the test time sitll 3:XX faster than for the AMD 1800X! in realflow
next！this is test on AMD 1800X 。this time open gpu driver, it is news version can to support the hard！
it is so long 19:00 to test time in realflow 10 ！ it slower than realflow2015~ it is 15:00 in realflow2015 to the AMD 1800X about the test!
what is realflow10? (it is news product of Nextlimit on 2017 )
you can tell me！ why ？ What happened?
vrey vrey thank you !
The problem has been completely solved！ Look！I made a low grade mistake
You're welcome! I'm glad you were able to solve your problem.
No, that is not low level mistake. You are excellent! Congratulations! Maybe I misled you to contact with the software vendors. I make my apologise to you. Or, the next time, if you have some problems, I think you'd better use Chinese, that might ease others to comprehend you.
maybe good idea ! thank you for your help~
Ryzen 7 1800X is a charming and elegant processor from AMD, thank you for purchasing such processor, and customised your system with Smart from AMD. Ryzen 7 1800X is dual quad-core processor, 8 cores in total, each core has two working threads in the form of SMT. This implementation of threading is quite like POWER5 processors, but different from Intel Hyper Threading. In other words, in your system, you would see 16 working threads, if SMT feature is enabled. In your tests, I found only 6 threads are used for benchmarking, here I guess the problem might lie on here. The 6 threads might be from only three working cores of your Ryzen processor, so the performance happens to degraded, comparing against 6 AMD 10h based cores. Or your software is not optimised for AMD Ryzen processor. Before, in Intel communities, someone has some similar questions like this, I suggest that user to contact with the software vendors, they might possibly provide the adequate support and solutions.
first than you for here, may something help ! Maybe you didn't read the article carefully！ 6 threads are used for benchmarking, it is amd ii 1055T not amd 1800X ! why AMD 11 1055T faster than AMD 1800X in realflow? what is the reason ?
Oh, sorry! I mistook the test of 1055T as 1800X. I think you'd better contact with the software vendor for further and detail information on this issue. Anyway, I just wish you good luck.
