Yeah if that info helped amd people to solve my problem I would be glad to waste my precious time on this planet writing that info here. But actually that never helped me so I just want to say that I won't buy more amd graphics cards.
I also experience occasional green screen flashes with this card and no one helped me, so...
Thank you for nothing.
Glad to help ..
I'm not sure what you define as "shitty" performance, but on 4K on my RX-480 the lowest point on highest settings is 53FPS; on 1080p it never drops below 60FPS.
I had to install the game just to test it out. My system doesn't matter here but it's a Ryzen 1800X, 32GB RAM @ 3200MHz , and RX-480 (2nd one -Crossfire- disabled for this test) running at stock settings of 1240MHz Core clock. I'm running 17.6.3 drivers on Windows 10 Pro (Creators ed).
My Radeon Settings for Wolvenstein: New Order - all default, Crossfire Mode disabled.
People ask for your hardware to see if there's a possible issue or workaround - I understand that you want to vent because of poor system configuration or frustration, but there's no need to take it out on people who are trying to help you out.
probably best bet is to try different drivers and see if one works better
all i know is you have a 480. not much to go on. but 17.6.1 works on 480 in most cases if not you will need a much older one. in the 16.3 area. so without info we cant help much...
Sorry but yeah I needed to vent my frustation, here the specs:
AMD Graphics Card - AMD RX480 Nitro+
Desktop or Laptop System - Desktop
Operating System - Up to date Windows 10 64bit
Driver version installed - 17.6.2
DisplayDevices - DELL U2414H
Motherboard - Gigabyte990 FXA-UD3
CPU/APU - FX 8350 4.0 Ghz
RAM - 16GB
FYI shitty performance means that fps won't stay at 60 fps, always going between 40-60, in action parts below 40, no matter the graphics config.
Also, I wanted to enable supervirtual resolution, in order to eliminate all the jaggies because of the absence of AA in the game, but even when I change the resolution in-game, the resolution is not rescaled. Also the solution found in the internets about enabling AA through the console of the game is not working.
I had stuttering in this game, and it crashed after about 30secs of gameplay.
Youre not alone, im having a ton of issues with my RX470 too.
First and last time buying an amd gpu
I had the same issue with this game. I have an i5-6600k and rx 570 and got pretty terrible performance. It's just a horribly optimized port.
