    FX-8350 safe temp


      I'm very confused about the safe temp of my cpu.

      I'm using hwinfo and I see several different temp monitors.

      Here is my system...

      CPU:           AMD FX-8350 (Piledriver/Vishera, OR-C0 (Orochi))

                     4000 MHz (20.00x200.0) @ 4334 MHz (20.00x216.7)

      Motherboard:   ASUS SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0

      Chipset:       AMD 990FX (RD990) + SB920/SB950

      Memory:        16384 MBytes @ 577 MHz, 11-11-11-28

                     - 8192 MB PC12800 DDR3 SDRAM - Muskin 992110 (997110)

                     - 8192 MB PC12800 DDR3 SDRAM - Muskin 992110 (997110)

      Graphics:      EVGA e-GeForce GTX 550 Ti

                     NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti, 1024 MB GDDR5 SDRAM

          the tctl is the thermal trip sensor controls fans and the vrm to throttle cpu mhz... your ok from what i see. keep an eye on the one jumping up and down fast. cpu usually throttles before it gets to hot. and thats the problem with those cpu's ive had several.

          not sure what cooler you have.? really anything is 70's celcius is ok but hot and throttles before that and thats the trick.


          i ran 1.4625v on cpu up to 4.8ghz and 1.475 on cpu/nb  and nb 1.38 +.050mv and ht 1.385 with a 212 evo aircooler to keep it stable in gamming.. 2600mhz on nb and hypertransport .  with 2400mhz ram..


          water cooler is best really ive had it up too 5.2 but not stable on air at all..!


          the cpu clock fsb 235 or 260 for oclocking ram. trick is stay under about 64c or it throttles down..


          the sweet spot on those is around the 4.6 4.75 ghz not over 64celcius
