BSOD crashes with multiple video cards

for months I've been having problems with crashes, the only fix I had found was (surprisingly) using the AMD graphics drivers from MS (delivered through windows update)

any driver (from the late 15.XXXX drivers I think) from the AMD website would cause the crashes but my system was stable with the MS ones

in trying to diagnose the problem in the last few days I've found the problem was my second video card, now that I have removed it from the system it's fine

      my specs are

AMD FX 8350 cpu (stock speed)

      Gigabyte 990FXA UD3 (rev 1.1) mobo

      16 gigs dual channel ram

      Zalman 750 watt PSU

      Gigabyte R9-390 8gig

      Sapphire 7870 2gig

      No O/C on either card

both cards run fine by themselves (and with the MS drivers together underload they are fine too), so the only conclusion I can come to is that there is some sort of bug in the AMD drivers, which I would report.. but the problem reporting tool in the drivers crashes, and the web page doesn't exist so I'm posting this here
