Yes, a laptop. This was an HP Elitebook 8460p that I put a new SSD in and then loaded Windows 10 on to update.
Frustrating problem, sent feed OK to external monitor. Worked OK, but very dim, with brightness set to less than 100%. Same issue with a wide variety of drivers. Windows updates made no difference. Booting into Safe mode or booting with Windows VGA drivers would work. After a sleep/awake cycle it would work.
Using Windows 10 64 bit and now Creator update to 1703
Using 7400m series card
After disabling Ambient Light Sensor in BIOS, it is working perfectly.
