AMD Radeon R7 M265 malfunctioning

Discussion created by mylesillidge on May 25, 2017

Hi All.

I have an Acer Aspire e1-572g, which came with a 2gb AMD Radeon R7 M265 graphics card. After about a year of using the laptop I had an error with the hard drive and took it in to the store I bought it from to be repaired. Upon receiving it back I was told the AND graphics card was not functioning correctly (device manager also said it was malfunctioning). I uninstalled the display driver, restarted and then scanned for changes and that seemed to correct the error. However now I am getting an error saying "Your AMD display driver has stopped responding and has successfully recovered". This error causes any game to crash. (Side note: when playing overwatch I get an error saying "Your rendering device has been lost" when the game crashes). I have tried changing the Tdrdelay to 8, I have tried updating the driver as well as rolling back to 15.7. Please help me. Any advise welcome.
