My new Sapphire NITRO RX 460 OC 4GB is only runing at PCI Express 2.0 x8 and my motherboard supports  PCI Express 2.0 x 16. how do I get it to run at PCI Express 2.0 x 16?

HI

 

I realize that my card will not reach its full potential because my Motherboard is old and do not supports PCI Express 3.0 , but do not understand why is only runing at PCI Express 2.0 x8. and not PCI Express 2.0 x 16. My old graphics card was runing at PCI Express 2.0 x 16

 

Has just updated to the latest driver for Sapphire NITRO RX 460. did not help.

 

My computer info

 

-Motherboard GIGABYTE GA-P55A-UD3 LGA 1156 Intel P55 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel

 

-Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 860 @ 2.80GHz

 

-CPU Type

Total amount of system memory 12,0 GB RAMSystem type 64-bit operating system

 

-Sapphire Radeon NITRO Rx 460 4GB GDDR5 HDMI / DVI-D / DP OC (UEFI) PCI-E Graphics Card

 

 

Any help would be much appreciated
