HOW TO MAKE AMD RADEON YOUR DISCRETE GRAPHICS CARD

Device Manager shows two graphics card were installed by default: AMD Radeon M230 and Intel(R)HD.

When I installed the driver update for AMD, m230 turned to 8500 M. After reading forums on different gaming community sites, they

said 8500 M is just a rebranded(?) M230 version. My problem is, everytime I run games, it seems like

AMD isn't the one working to at least optimize these applications, because when I start monitoring on AMD Catalyst Control, none of my active apps show up .

I suspect that the Intel Graphics continue to play the role that AMD is supposed to be playing. Can someone help me on this regard? would be highly appreciated!
