Hi,

Hi I have a gigabyte ga890fxa ud5 (bios f6, board rev 2.1). This works fine in windows 7 with ahci enabled. But with W10 its not working.

Symptoms:

with sata type as ahci, both w10 install and usb media, will stall at the spining dots.

With sata type as ide - I can install w10 and then have enabled ahci drivers (amd sata drivers from the hseries folder).

I have tried both the amd sata drivers and ms sata drivers for the controller; that doesn't work in ahci mode.

I plan to change over to a ssd shortly .. so this test install was to see if the mobo works in w10
