It could be a defective graphic card, or power supply.
can you test the graphic card in another PC to rule it out?
or test another graphic card in your PC?
Also is the monitor in good working order? and are the cables in good working order
Same thing here. I was in kitchen doing stuff and I head windows beeps and then when I turned the screen was like that.
I put the DVI to MoBo and it works and I can see Radeon drivers had been updated without my permission to newest(?) I think.
Now I can't use my Graphics card at all!
I haven't updated my drivers because of problems before and now this. How shitty drivers can AMD make??
Here is my old post.
Radeon drivers had been updated without my permission to newest(?) I think.
jkkorpi That happened to me as well early AM today - but that's because Windows decided to put ITS own version overwriting the one I manually installed with the ReLive package. AMD is not to blame for that one.
marcothedwarf what are your system specs?
This is what I would recommend doing:
1. test GPU in a different system if possible at all
2. test previously used GPU in your system to see if you can even boot back up or see anything
3. Test monitor and/or cables
Eventually I would recommend upgrading your PSU especially if you plan on putting some load on the system or if you have future upgrades planned.
Well yes Microsoft put their version to delivery but still it's AMD who made the driver.
Also this problem has now been going on for at least half a year and not a single thing has been done to repair this.
Vertically now that you can't use older drivers with Windows anymore it makes either the graphics card or the 144hz monitor obsolete.
Both of them cost a lot of money so I don't wish to replace them.
You should think people who code these drivers test them with _every_ possible resolution, hz and so on before releasing them.
Now fix this if you please.
which manufacturer is your RX480?
