      Describe your issue:

      First attempt:

I bought a XFX Radeon RX 580 GTS XXX Edition 8GB to replace my current card.

After the Tech installed the new graphics card the windows couldn’t identify the card and kept installing windows universal drivers.

I downloaded radeon-crimson-relive-17.5.1 drivers which installed fine however the windows didn’t update the drivers used.

I removed the new card and installed the old one and used an image to revert the windows to the old setup.

      Second attempt

I switched the old card with the new card.

I tried removing the old drivers using DDU and amd cleanup utility in safe mode.

After finishing I tried to install radeon-crimson-relive-17.5.1 this time I received Components already installed error and the installation didn’t continue.

I repeated the same procedure multiple times but to no avail.

      Third attempt

      Fresh Windows 10 64 bit.

The drivers were installed normally and the card worked fine.

Knowing the card is not faulty I reverted to my old card and restored my windows.

      My question:

Although a fresh window 64 seems to fix the driver installation problem.

I would like to be able to use my current windows with all its software and setting with the new card.

      What is your advice?
