As stated before, there is noticeable screen tearing issues when using the desktop. Whether it be browsing, videos, gaming, or just on the desktop, the screen has flickering and tearing issues.
Any games I play have this issue, and some are even unplayable, as is the case with Over Watch.
R9 200 is not a card...it's a SERIES.
I have a R9 290 on Win7.
The availability of a new driver is not a command to install it. All driver updates are 'fixes'. There is nothing in the newer drivers that 'fixes' any issues I have, so I don't install them. These new drivers are basically fixes for the 480/580/series and for the Win10 Creators Update. Roll back to your previous/workable drivers and be happy.
Which version should I rollback to? And where would I find that at?
The simplest way is to go to the computer device manager/display/AMD and roll back to the previous version.
Here are the previous drivers for your card > Previous
I like the 16.11.5 drivers myself.
Make sure Win7 is Fully updated first.
I installed the 16.11.5 drivers after uninstalling the version I had previously, but it is still having the same screen tearing issues. Windows is fully updated too.
Is there anything else I could do to try to fix the issue? I really want to play my games but can not due to this =(
I'm having the same problem! Using 2 monitors, one of them always gets wacky when I open a web browser window and move it around. I've been using dual monitors on this card for almost 2 years and never had any issues until this morning.
