I plan to do photo editing using Photoshop and am wondering if a ryzen 1600x chip is worth the extra cost over a 1600 for my purposes. Any help would be appreciated.
The 1600X basically came off the production line has a better clocking cpu. The 1600 is virtually identical but just coded to be a 1600. In effect the 1600 cpu when tested after production did not meet the criteria to be a 1600X, probably it was a bit unstable at a higher clock to they code it has a 1600.
In a nutshell the 1600X will clock a bit higher.
Thanx for your response. I plan to do photo editing and just spoke with someone from AMD tech support who assured me that the 1600 chip will work fine for my purposes.
