I just purchased the AMD Radeon RX 580 after my Geforce GTX 670 started dying. Previous to putting in the new graphics card, the program was operating properly.
Softimage XSI 7.01 is a 3D animation and modeling program that I use for work. With the new graphics card, I am able to launch the program with no issue, I am even able to render, rotate load scenes etc. The probelm is very specific: It always happens doing the same things.
I can create an object through the menu, I can deselect the object using the marque selection, but when I try to marque select an object, it crashes. I also am not able to bring up floating windows using hotkeys either.
I know that geforce a few years back had a similar issue where you had to change from Multi-display / mixed GPU acceleration to Single display performance, but this may not be the same issue.
My system is this:
OS: WIndows 10 Home (64 bit)
Processor: Intel Core i7-3930 CPU @ 3.2GHZ Mhz, 6 Cores
SMBIOS Version 2.7
BIOS Mode UEFI
Installed Ram 16.0 GB
Graphic Card Info:
Driver Version 220.127.116.11
Radeon Software Version 17.4.4
Softimage XSI 7.01
