I have a Samsung 28 inch UHD monitor (model name UE590) that supports freesync. It has one Display port 1.2, and HDMI 2.0 and an HDMI 1.4. I am planning on getting the new xbox scorpio which will support freesync over HDMI 2.1. So far i have not found any information as to weather it can use the freesync on the HDMI 2.0 port on my monitor. My question is, would i be able to use an adaptor that plugs into my diplay port on the monitor, and the hdmi on the scorpio, and have freesync enabled? If so would it have to be and active or passive adaptor? my monitor only runs at 60hz at 4k same as what the scorpio will through the HDMI 2.1 so im not looking for anything higher than 60hz at 4k. So basically can a freesync displayport monitor run freesync from a pc that would only have a HDMI cable able to suport freesync. Thanks to anyone who might be able to help
