This is my actual setup :
HP - Z820
Processor: 2 x Intel® Xeon™ E5-2665 (2.4Ghz)
Graphics: AMD Sapphire Radeon Pro Duo 8Gb HBM
RAM: 64GB DDR3L SDRAM
HDD: Hybrid 300 GB SSD Intel + 960 GB SSD Sandisk + 4 TB HDD
OS: Windows 10 Pro 64 bit
First I was using it for calculation and other work stuff, now i m using it to play, and the fact that very few games can support a lot of cores.
As you all know 99.99% of the actual games are cpu frequency dependent even if they use a lot of GPU, your game will run faster with 4x4Ghz compare to 32x2.4Ghz ...
So I m thinking to switch to more frequency (maybe less cores).
My question is the next :
Can the Ryzen7 run on a dual socket mother board ? or Better to wait for the workstation version, even if most of the time you can't overclock the workstation processor because they are already giving the best they can ?
At this point in time I do not believe there are any dual socket Ryzen compatible motherboards available.
