My processor is supposed to be an AMD A12-9700P Quad-Core, but multiple programs detect that my processor is AMD A10-9700 Bristol Ridge 28nm Technology. There does seem to be a difference. Neither Dell support, nor Microsoft support, can account for the discrepancy. I'm here to ask 1) whether the AMD A-10 is somehow part of the AMD A-12 family (or whether the A-10 is an A-12), and 2) whether there is a surefire way of detecting the processor and determining with confidence whether it is an AMD A-12, or an AMD A-10.
