I Lose Signal Immediately After Installing GPU Drivers off of CD

Immediately after installing Windows 10, 64 bit, I'm using my MSI R9 390X installation CD to load the latest drivers.  It gets about halfway through the installation of V15.xxxx, and then my monitor loses signal.  I can boot to safe mode and see that the driver installed, but for some reason its causing this loss of signal.  Device Manager shows that my basic Acer monitor has an exclamation point next to it, but I have no drivers to update it to.

I downloaded the latest driver off of here, a Crimson ReLive 17.4.3, and I tried to install it overtop of 15."whatever" from the disc, but I get a "failed to load detection driver" when I try to.  Any ideas?
