Well first off I would like to preface this post by stating that this laptop is not more than a week or two old with me so I don't know if this is a factory issue or something. Now getting to my issue.
I was checking the specs of this laptop and found that although the dedicated GPU (AMD r7 m445) is not that much powerful of a GPU as its other GPU counterparts in the same price range. It was supposed to be decent enough to play "low end" titles such as DOTA 2 or NBA2k17 in medium or might be in a high setting (I'm not sure about the latter, correct me if I'm wrong). But when I opened the game it wasn't performing as it should be based on the specs of the GPU. And then when I checked the radeon settings I saw that the specs of the integrated GPU (The laptop is powered by an AMD APU fx-9800p with r8 graphics) and the dedicated GPU are switched (as seen on the screenshots that I have attached on this post). My question would be if this is the reason why its affecting performance or is this normal? Drivers for the laptop are all pre installed on the laptop out of the box and are up to date (or at least as said so on the radeon settings update tab). If this is not normal I would need help in fixing this issue because I really like this laptop because its what I need for both school and game (I'm not that heavy of a gamer). My laptop is a Dell Inspiron 17 5000 (5765) series AMD. Thank you!
