Driver installation failure.

Question asked by stacts on Apr 18, 2017

Specs:

MSI X370 Gaming Pro Carbon

Ryzen 7 1700

Sapphire RX 480 4GB

window 10 pro

Story mode:

In my foolish, misguided attempt to improve game performance, I updated windows 10 to the "Creator's Edition."  Windows examined my system, took a long hard look at my software and decided that I didn't need my AMD drivers.  Then it tried to boot.  After trying to get in touch with microsoft, I realized that I knew about as much about fixing computers as the guy to which I was talking.  Then I realized that windows uninstalled my drivers (by this point, I was finally able to log in, but only to safe mode).

^Story mode over

I have since then, re-downloaded the drivers, but they refuse to install because of "Error 99 - AMD Installer cannot continue because the driver being installed has not been digitally signed. Click here to learn more.

I click and nothing happens (I suspect I can't install because of safe mode).

Any advice short of reinstalling windows?
