Ugh, ThermalTake...Their power supplies are about one step above useless garbage. Wait for your EVGA PSU to arrive, but I imagine your problems will disappear once it does.
Well, it's worked pretty fine for the last 5 almost 6 years now...but I think it's its due time.
I tried the vga on another pc with the same psu (apparently in a better condition) and now it works fine.
Tried doom, 3dmark 11, Crysis 3 (not much of a heavy game) and GTAV all maxed out with AA and all, maximum load...everything went fine.
So in the end you were right ....I just have a question here, I read on Tom's Hardware that the Fury x needs 25 amps per channel. The TR2 has 60 on it's
12+ line...but then I read on the EVGA side label that it has a maximum of 24 amps... I reckon that psu is a high quality make and better than the TR2 in many aspects, starting by the fact it's a 80 plus gold and has 100 watts more of output power but...will it have what it takes on the PCIE channel?
I've got a friend with one of those who's powering a 295x2 and that one consumes way more than the Fury x...I'm a little confused about that
