    HD 7950: Error 1603 or even bluescreen on Win 8.1 with Driver 17.4.1 while 17.2.1 works fine

      When I try to install the latest driver (Crimson ReLive Edition 17.4.1) via auto detect tool I get an error 1603.

      When I try to install the latest driver (Crimson ReLive Edition 17.4.1) via manually selected driver I even get a blue screen: SYSTEM_TRHEAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (atikmdag.sys)

       

      I have used DISM and SFC.

      Windows is up to date.

      I have reproduced both errors several times while trying to uninstall all drivers between steps using both AMD Clean Uninstall Tool and/or third party program Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU).

       

      Downgrading to Crimson ReLive Edition 17.2.1 works fine.

       

      I suppose there is something wrong with your driver.
