I just installed an Arctic Accelero Hybrid III water cooler. It is doing a good job of keeping the GPU's cpu temp down but the VRAM is hitting 90c.
Should I be concerned about that? Can that cause a crash if it gets too hot?
According to the Arctic web site the operating range is between 85c and 95c, so you should be ok. And, Yes overheating can cause problems.
It looks like you can set up fan curves using MSI Afterburner.
Look at the support tab on Arctic's web site for the info on that.
In MSI, it always reads the fan speed to be zero. While hardware monitor gives a reading that corresponds to the fan curve set in MSI.
Right now my problem is that I have two GPUs. One with the hybrid and one with a stock cooler. Both require separate fan curves.
Is there any software out there capable of creating separate fan curves?
Not that I am aware of. But someone else in the forums may have better info on this subject.
In your experience on a standard sized mobo, Asus z97-a, is it feasible to run two arctic hybrid IIIs alongside each other?
I've never used the Motherboard or GPU cooler you have. You would have a better estimate at that then I would.
