running 16.15 but updater suggests using 15.7 so it makes no sense to listen to that
Umm..your post makes no sense either, without some kind of information INFORMATION REQUIRED WHEN POSTING A QUESTION
the automated updater reported back that I am running version 16.15 but recommends that instead I run 15.7 and wondered if this makes sense, why would I go BACK a revision, and what is gained/lost?
Can't really suggest anything unless you provide some system specs as Kingfish pointed to.
I can say 15.7 was the last non-beta version for older vidcards usually referred to as Legacy.
Running a Radeon hd6570. Win 10. Not sure what else is needed
""Not sure what else is needed"" > INFORMATION REQUIRED WHEN POSTING A QUESTION
Let me read it to you:
Describe your system:
Was a desktop tech 20 years so trust me I get all that need for info on eqpt. Just a simple question on why the updater wants me to revert to an older rev. Thing works perfectly. Zero issues. Simply curious is all. HP Pavilion h8-1020. Don’t really want to dig into the machine to gather all the rest of the listed things. Can be considered a closed issue. Just figured someone knew why it wanted to go backwards
You have been in IT for 20 years and don't know what graphics card, OS, and processor your computer has without "digging into the machine"?
Wow – curiosity was all this was. Not a bug fix and certainly not worth any more replies. SHEESH. Yeah I can go into device manager but don’t really care anymore.
There is a reason the Terms & Conditions for the use of this Forum explicitly list the INFORMATION REQUIRED WHEN POSTING A QUESTION
