Ah, sorry. Didn't realize there was a post stating everything I needed to include.
The processor is an AMD A6-5200 APU with Radeon HD Graphics (I hope this is what you were looking for)
"" Ah, sorry. Didn't realize there was a post stating everything I needed to include."" Don't worry about it...it takes a roadmap to find it Best kept secret on the forum..you can find out mainly by posting a question...
Anyhow, the latest driver for your laptop is > APU
To cover all most of the bases:
In the computer Device Manager..is there any yellow marks?
Is your computer power plan set to "Performance" (not balanced) and plugged in to electricity?
Have you set the switchable graphics correctly, and observed the activity during a game? How to Configure Laptop Switchable Graphics
Have you used something like Hardware Monitor to record your temperature?
Have you cleaned the laptop vents, etc. with compressed air/vacuum this year? Is the laptop sitting on a bear-skin rug?
Used a program like Crap Cleaner to get rid of all the junk?
I managed to update the drivers but the problem still persists. I'll try the last link you sent and report back if it helps.
As for the questions:
*Not too sure what you mean by "yellow marks," but from what I can tell, there are none.
*I do have my power plan set on "Performance," and I don't often move so my computer is usually plugged in.
*I also wasn't aware I could switch the graphics this way. Needless to say, I haven't, but usually my games run fine, and aren't interrupted.
*If Advanced System Care's temperature monitoring is correct then I guess I have.
*I haven't cleaned the vents or anything this year, guess it's something I should do somewhat often, and no, I usually leave it sitting on my desk.
*I suppose I have, again, assuming Advanced System Care is a reliable program.
Update: Although the problem has reduced exponentially, it's still happening at brief times. However I'm finally able to open pictures without my computer freezing and then closing the program so at the moment I don't have any complaints.
I'm not sure if you'd consider the problem solved but it's certainly better than it was before, so thank you.
