I am using an RX 470 and lately I am getting dropped frames on video playback of H.265 files. I was watching a TV show and the video was slightly choppy sometimes and FRAPS reported below 24 FPS. AMD driver is crashing and playing the video sometimes causes my PC to freeze to a point where I have to press the rest button to reboot. Recently GTA V also crashed.
Tried uninstalling and reinstalling previous driver versions. Moved video file from hard drive to Desktop (which is an SSD), tried changing players but nothing solves it.
Can anyone help? Buy a 200 dollar GPU and now you can't watch a video...
Edit - I just found uninstalling the AMD driver solves the problem! Go figure
Solution(if any one ever faces this) - uninstall the current driver with DDU(google if you don't know what it is) and reinstall a new driver. Worked in my case, got no issues now.
