Crimson 17.3.2 error SideBySide and AMD chipset driver

Question asked by daggerfall on Mar 17, 2017

Year ago I said AMD will release stable crimson driver after year - I was wrong, maybe after two?, a year of beta testing by users and still simple and same errors.

During clean installation of 17.3.2 driver on clean Windows 7 SP1 x64 (updates installed correctly) with Radeon 7950 - found error SideBySide code 33

Error while creating activation content for "C:\Program Files\AMD\CIM\Bin64\SetACL64.exe". Can't found depended build "Microsoft.VC80.MFC,processorArchitecture="amd64",publicKeyToken="xxxxxxxx",type="win32",version="8.0.50608.0"". Use sxstrace.exe for detailed info.

sorry if something not correct in text up here, translated from Russian

I've found what installing vcredist 2005 SP1 x64 - fixing problem, no errors appear in system log after installing it on clean windows and install after that 17.3.2, maybe someone need to recompile driver or inculude vcredist 2005?

About chipset driver, it always ignore AMD X990/FX990 and won't install AMD AHCI or even USB filter driver, some versions won't install at all. I'm not even talking about 7xx/8xx series...where is no drivers for that, 13.4 seems last. Need some addition information -Do users need USB 3, chipset, AHCI storage drivers? on diffirent hardware on diffirent version of windows, or do installer smarter.
