Custom Resolution Option, Missing in "Radeon Additional Settings"

Hey guys, I'm trying to overclock my monitor, but alas, the option to set a custom refresh rate and resolution are missing. As are many other options. I've been browsing the forums for an hour or two, and I've found that the issue is caused by new drivers. And that they can be reverted to access the missing options. No one's really explained the process (well), and would also like some confirmation that this is indeed the issue. If it is, a quick rundown as to how to get rid of the new driver(s), and install the old one would be great. For example, what would be the last driver version that had these options?
