Ryzen Microchip and Windows Update

Question asked by goodmane on Mar 10, 2017

Hello everyone, I've bought Ryzen R7 1800X CPU with Asus Crosshair VI Hero motherboard. And I was wondering how these microchip updates are being delivered. I know we are currently waiting for Bios updates, Although I guess now they are named EFI updates because of some change, or to confuse old people like me. But in the review videos they were also talking about microchip updates. I couldn't find any information about how they are being delivered to the systems.

I, for one, am against the windows update of windows 10. "If it's not broken don't try an fix it" is the motto I live by and never failed me. Windows 10 however updates itself without a care about if it's breaking something down. That's why it's disabled in my system. And I was wondering if I'll be able to get those microchip updates that reviewers talk about.
