Black screen after installing RX460

Hello. I just bought a new graphics card as my old one died. I've tried installing it but I never come further than a black screen. Computer works fine when I use the default graphics card but when I try to switch to the new one the screen goes black. I've done all the reccomended troubleshooting (windows update, corrupted files, unistalling with DDU, download from the CD and website) but nothing seems to work. Could it be that my very old hardware isn't compatible with the graphics card or is it a driver related issue?
