I have switched from 1 monitor to 3 for my iRacing. I need a small monitor to host my telemetry on. How do I get the fourth one to work? I have 3 24" monitors and the one I need to work also is a 7" monitor.
I have purchased a Displayport MTS Module and 3x Displayport to HDMI cables. Started my computer and now I have 4 working monitors and can add a 5th if I wanted. Thanks for the help.
Can you tell us the exact card you have? You should be able to connect 4 monitors without issue. If your card has:
DVI Output : x 1
HDMI Output : x 1
Display Port : x 3
Then you would need to run 3 monitors from the Display Port outputs, and 1 from either of the others. See here for more information: How do I connect three or more displays to an AMD Radeon™ R series graphics card?
You can actually support up to 6 with a MST hub. What is the maximum number of monitors I can connect?
I have the MSI Redeon 390X. 1 display 2x DVI 1 HDMI. Center monitor on DP.
Side monitors on DVI. All 3 24". Small 7" monitor on HDMI.
I believe it only supports 3 monitors, I would contact MSI for confirmation if you need more info. Consider buying a DisplayPort MST Hub to power more.
Yes it only supports 3 monitors. I have ordered the MTS and I will report
back if it works. Thank you.
That's great to hear, please mark an answer as accepted if it has helped you. Enjoy!
According to this info you can use four monitors if one of them has native DP connection and DVI ports are occupied by identical monitors
