Disable all your anti-virus/anti-malware/ anti-anything when downloading and installing the drivers.

Follow the guide for Intel/AMD graphics > Laptop graphics update...How to
First of all, thanks for replying to the post. Now on to the main part, i've tried that method 3 times over last 2 days and without success( unfortunately ). Although i tried installing it through device manager the 4th time in safe boot and it succeeded ( atleast it looked that way.. sigh... ) the driver was installed but after i restarted it in normal boot, i was greeted by boot freeze ( also known as Black screen ) and had to do a system restore. This is my first time using AMD GPU and it did gave me a pretty good lesson, if the problem is not resolved, i may sell it and go back to navidia. ( just to make it clear that i cant install any of the drivers now, old or new. As i have to face the same mess every time. Thanks again for replying and any help would be much appreciated.
i tried updating intel drivers through intel update utility and it stated that i have the latest drivers that i got through windows update. I downloaded the drivers for my intel VGA manually, ( i know they are correct as i checked both vga name and processor name in the supporting hardware list) Intel drivers give me error saying the driver you are trying to install are not digitally signed for this hardware please check your manufacturer for latest drivers. And AMD drivers give the following error ( C:\Windows\System32\atiadlxx.dll is either not designed to run on windows or it contains an error. Try instaling the program again using orignal installation media or contact your system admin or software vendor for support) i downloaded both drivers from the links provided..... PLEASE HELP
If the auto-detect says you have the latest..it is the latest. You have to be careful and read the 'this download applies to'....the generation designations (I've had the same thing happen). So lets assume you have the latest driver.
Empty the C:/AMD folder of all previous driver versions.
Prevent/delay Windows from automatically changing graphics drivers. Do this before anything else..Windows 10 Forums
Disable all anti-virus programs during installation.
i I was able to successfully install latest Intel drivers that i downloaded manually by going into safe mood and following the guide provided and they are functioning normally. but as soon as i started AMD driver install it hanged, fortunately windows started normally this time, ( no boot hangs, no black screens ).so m guessing half of the problem was with the Intel drivers. i'll try installing outdated drivers through driver updater first ( Excluding AMD ) then try again. i'll post back the results.
Update, updated all possibly found drivers, and challenged the process just to fail again....
is there a way to get AMD experts on this issue...
It has been a month already and there is no response from the technical team or customer care team in answering anything good relating to my actual problem. I have to say that this has been my worst experience with any customer care so far. I might change my laptop next week with navidia GPU.
Hey! I'm using Lenovo G500, win10 x64, AMD Radeon HD 8750.
I've tried many times and finally found a way to install latest AMD drivers without freezing system. I think it was because of some driver, that Windows is updating automatically (in my case I think Intel HD Graphics, but I'm not sure). So, what did I do?
1. Erased my HDD with Active Kill Disk (using bootable CD disk) -> Hard Disk Eraser. Preparing a Bootable CD
2. Installed new Win10 (using bootable CD created with Windows Media Creation Tool from Microsoft)
3. Installed AMD latest driver from here -> Download Drivers
IMPORTANT!: During the whole operation I had disabled Internet connection, so Win10 couldn't download and install any driver automatically!
I hope it will help you
Thank you for taking your time to reply... i will try it tomorrow and post back the results..
Finally, after months of maddening struggle, i managed to solve the problem... here is what i did...
1: Boot into Safe Mood and remove the drivers with DDU ( Both Intel and AMD ), Official Display Driver Uninstaller DDU Download ..
2: restart the PC
3: download the drivers from your manufacturer's site. for windows 8.1. ( yes they work ), for me it was the acer site.
4: install the AMD driver you've downloaded from manufacturer's site Product support ( this is for my laptop), you need to download from your own laptop manufacturer's site...
5: restart the PC
7: restart the PC
8: install the intel driver which i've downloaded from acer site.
9: restart the PC
10: finally update the intel drivers with Intel® Driver Update Utility .
the drivers will start to work after step 7 but the CCC will work only after step 9.... i hope this will help the other poor souls that got into this trouble...
"Important" :- you will need to disable the following services for that... Windows update, BITS , Superfetch and also windows defender from group policy, to avoid trouble with the installation...
