Installed the newest Catalyst driver, now having connection problems

Question asked by ajmpage on Feb 8, 2017

I recently completely removed my old driver using a program called Device Driver Uninstaller, then installed a new driver in an attempt to fix a system error I've been getting since I purchased my computer (SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED). When looking for a new driver, I at first accidentally tried to install Crimson ReLive, which isn't compatible with my graphics card. It DID say that it had been installed, but it of course never enabled. I didn't realize this until I tried to play a game, then noticed it didn't appear in my device manager.

After I realized this mistake, I installed the newest version of Catalyst. The game now runs, and the driver appears on my device manager. But now, whenever I enter an online game, I have horrible connectivity. I've tried uninstalling the new version and installing an older one, but it hasn't made a difference. What can I do?
