Windows can't detect a connected second monitor

Question asked by joeronimo on Feb 4, 2017

Currently running with an MSI 970A SLI Krait Edition motherboard, an FX-4130 processor(base, not overclocked), and a Radeon R7 250X series GPU on 64 bit windows 10. Attempting and failing to setup dual monitors, my display drivers are saying they are 32 bit, but they aren't being replaced when I download the 64 bit version of them... I'm lost as to what to do to make this happen, just looking for suggestions that might help me out before I spend money that's not necessary, anything is appreciated!
