AMDGPU-PRO driver for Ubuntu constantly writes to syslog: dc_pre_update_surfaces_to_target

As far as I can remember, all AMDGPU-PRO drivers I've installed (I'm currently on 16.60) on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS have resulted in my syslog filling up with a particular log message repeated constantly every 5 seconds:

...

[19158.125576] [drm] dc_pre_update_surfaces_to_target: commit 1 surfaces to target 0xad8929e0

[19163.173314] [drm] dc_pre_update_surfaces_to_target: commit 1 surfaces to target 0xad8929e0

[19168.198530] [drm] dc_pre_update_surfaces_to_target: commit 1 surfaces to target 0xad8929e0

...

Does anyone know if this has already been reported? Is anyone else seeing this?

This is a different issue to the one related to Xorg.0.log - that one is more severe but has a known workaround; that doesn't apply here.
