Ok, so I own an Acer Aspire E5-551G-F50E (FX 7500 + R7, 8 GB RAM, R7 M265, 1 TB HDD) running Windows 10 Home (64 bit)

It has the latest drivers installed (16.12.2)

And yet, many games that I've tried simply crash/freeze/Thread Stuck in Device Driver at their main menu/map load. Even worse, these are SYSTEM freezes.

Chrome (& SpecForce) - Freeze at main menu

Chaser - Freeze at main menu

Mobile Forces - Crashes upon map load/at loading screen

Unreal Tournament 2004 - Crash upon starting the application

It doesn't matter what GPU I assign, they either crash/freeze. I doubt it's a hardware issue though , because, funnily enough, some games work perfectly, leading me to believe it's a DRIVER ISSUE.

Counter Strike 1.6 - Plays perfectly

Counter Strike Global Offensive - Plays perfectly

Kingpin Life Of Crime - Played perfectly

Alpha Prime - Plays perfectly

Dead Island - Plays perfecty

Worms Ultimate Mayhem - Plays perfectly

FEZ - Plays perfectly

Glide based games (I only tried Trickstyle, but should apply to all) - Play perfectly

Tomb Raider 3 & 4 - Played perfectly

Toxikk - Played perfecty

Duke Nukem 3D Megaton - Plays perfectly

There's a pattern here. The games that DO work are OpenGL/ DirectX 9.0C or later based. So, is there any chance DX 7/8/9 games might be optimized for? The hardware is perfectly fine, it's probably some drive/app conflicts or whatnot.
