Try to run the games or apps in compatibility mode.
Oh yeah, Windows 10 Home. Added that in the main post, thank you for pointing out the omission.
Regarding using compatibility mode, how do I put it politely?....It didn't do anything.
We're talking Steam & GOG games here, not ancient retail releases. Some have compatibility modes already applied ...and they still crash.
Anyone? I reset my Windows 10 installation, but to no avail. 2000-2005 games crash the system.
Better yet, trying to assign the power saving GPU to games (and even some apps) causes instant crashing once I open them.
Any chance a driver update could fix that? I can play things like CS:GO for hours on end, it can't be a hardware issue.
