HTC VIVE VR framerate issues on new drivers 17.1.1

I'm having frame rate issues since the new batch of Crimson Relive drivers have been released with the HTC VIVE VR headset.

Now everything works perfectly fine on an older crimson driver :-

But the latest causes problems, I have a massive frame rate drop just in the steam lobby area before I even start any apps?

Latest driver tested still causing the problem :-

I don't think it's a local problem with my system but more something that has changed in the latest drivers, Normal desktop apps & games work perfectly fine with the new drivers, but not the HTC VIVE.VR
