Hi, in Linux Download Center (Drivers-Support) there is driver only for Ubuntu 16.04.
When ready for Ubuntu 16.10 ?
That is not a support distribution according to the release notes. Have you tried using the 16.04 driver?
Obviously I tried install 16.04 driver but no works.
Use a supported distribution.
I use a supported distribution (ubuntu), but I follow the updates: today it is 16.10.
No, Ubuntu 16.04 still get updates.
Ubuntu 16.10 is a diferent branch, not an update and also Ubuntu 16.04 will have a longer support(long tern support branch). It is like windows 7 and windows 10, it is not an update, it is a different OS.
In any case I also would want that AMD make more up to date packages and even to more distributions
, but normally the comunity makes that ins a easy to install way.
PD: You can install the 16.04 driver in 16.10, there are several guides like this one: https://www.sabeltand.net/amdgpu-1610/
Thanks for the helpful post.
thanks for your replay.
I tried your posted guide, but do not work.
So I prefer continue to use default driver open source Amdgpu.
