    RX 470 Kernel Power 41

    itswheatthins

So I've been having this problem for around 2-3 weeks now and I can't figure out what is causing it. It only happens when I am gaming. I've never crashed while browsing or idle. I've tried disabling fast boot, sleep mode, etc. I've tried 2 different psu's and I keep getting kernel power 41 in event viewer. Any suggestions on what I should look at.

      Specs:

      OS: Windows 10

      Gpu: Amd rx 470

      Cpu: I5 6600k

      Motherboard: asus z-170 a

      BIOS: Version 3007

      Psu: evga 600w bronze

          1.Update BIOS

2.Install this chipset  and ME drivers

          3.Install sound drivers

4.Uninstall all AMD software and clean your system in safe mode by DDU program and install 16.11.5

5.If you don't need AMD HDMI audio, disable it in device manager or uninstall its drivers

          6. Disable Intel graphics in BIOS if you can see it in device manager

This is somewhat strange...But try changing hdmi cable, for 2.0 version for sure. Had a similar problem - in some game pc shutdown with kernel power 41 log, in some game just crash driver. Clear install drivers, bios update, more powerfull psu - did not help. Somewhere on the forum read about cable. Well, It sound ridiculous, but work fine for me: most problems with rx470 gone. Sry for necroposting
