I bought 3 new Samsung LS27F350 and cant seem to get more than 1 screen to support FreeSync. (over a DP-HDMI connection.) Can't get the other other DP-HDMI or even the straight HDMI to HDMI to work in tandem. Please help!
Leave only one monitor for this operation (HDMI-HDMI)
1.Uninstall all AMD software and clean your system in safe mode by DDU program then install 16.12.2 or 16.11.5 driver
2.Reboot and plug your second monitor >update monitor driver via device manager or manually (from disk/file) and check Freesync availability
3.Then plug your third monitor and repeat stage 2
Really appreciate you taking the time... no go though. Could even get freesync to work on two of these displays (even though both cables worked on their own).
seriously though... thanks for trying!!
You need to try all combinations of connection. Check that FreeSync is enabled in inner menu of that monitors, for which Freesync is grayed out in AMD driver
And show me what you got in Radeon settings>Display
Is this true? Can Freesync work with Active dp to hdmi adapter? Did you test it?
Sorry. It was recommendation for common multi monitor setup. Not for multi monitor Freesync capability.
I can get a *single* monitor to work with a *passive* HDMI to DP for freesync... but *Active* HDMI to DP don't seem to work with freesync at all. At least the "eyefinity" ones I got from Newegg. I can get all three monitors working properly in eyefinity (e.g. two active dp to HDMI and one straight HDMI) but only the straight HDMI works for freesync.
In case I'm unclear... I've tried every combination with the following cables I have:
- 2x HDMI cables. (all HDMI2.0 4k cert.)
- 2x Active DP to HDMI (don't work with freesync at all, but work with eyefinity fine.)
- 1x Passive DP to HDMI (freesync only works on one monitor no matter the other cables)
I am puzzled as to why I cant even get two straight HDMI to HDMI monitors to work with Freesync, but I'm tired of trying and returning everything tomorrow. Hopefully they can fix it with a driver update in the future for everyone else!
This is more complicated case, but it was solved by correct driver installation
In your case it looks like hardware problem (or low quality cables/adapters)
