So I recently bought an AMD FX 9590. I bought it for the overclock potential and the high base clock ability. I have an MSI 990FXA Gaming motherboard which comes with an awesome bios, but it doesnt support overclocking for CPU's that are 200+ watts. So when I go to look at what its clocked for right now, the motherboard has it set to only 4.0 GHz. Which is fairly low for how high the CPU is intended to be base clocked at (4.7GHz). SO, i know theres more to it than just changing the frequency that the processor runs at and i was wondering if someone could help me out.
