You don't need specific windows version for dual graphics capability
How to setup AMD dual graphics (hybrid crossfire) - YouTube Do all as on that video but set UMA buffer to Auto or amount equal to your external R7 250
Make sure you have all drivers completely uninstalled, there is a clean uninstall software you can download here
- With only the APU connected, remove the GPU, turn on the computer and install this driver16.9.2
- Reboot make sure the driver is working well, then turn off the computer and install the GPU.
- Make sure the screen is plugged to the GPU and reboot.
Dual graphics switch can be found in Radeon Settings>settings>additional settings
thank you for your reply redfury!
I did everything you said, and now this is the result:
My Version of radeon software crimson is not the newest one (16.12.1), but the one you told me to install (16.9.2)
The Bios settings were already korrekt before, so I didn't have to change them.
Now it looks like this:
As you can see, the button to activate dual graphics is not there. (so the problem is still exactly the same as before)
Do you have another idea?
I need to know full model name of your CPU. Check it in device manager or in Radeon settings>System
My CPU is: A10-7870K
The one I want it to combine with is the Gigabyte Radeon R7 250 2GB (PCle 3.0 x16)
The APU has 2GB RAM fix
We can change my previous instruction a little
1.Set UMA buffer to Auto
2.Set IGFX as primary graphics adapter(and connect monitor cable to it)
I want to see GPU-Z info for both adapters
And full model name of your motherboard?
my graphic card crashed, so I got a new one, and now the button to activate dual graphics simply popped up.
So it was probably a hardware problem.
thanks for your help!
