Hi there,

I need your help solving a mysterious problem with my new RX 460 graphics card.

My running system is:

Operating System: Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit

CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 @ 2.83GHz 43 °C Yorkfield 45nm Technology

RAM: 8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR2 @ 399MHz (5-6-6-18)

Motherboard: ASUSTeK Computer INC. P5Q-PRO (LGA 775) 36 °C

Graphics:     2436 (1920x1080@60Hz) 512MB ATI AMD Radeon HD 5670 (ATI AIB) 37 °C

Storage:      111GB Samsung SSD 850 EVO 120GB ATA Device (SSD) 39 °C

298GB Western Digital WDC WD3200AAKS-00L6A0 ATA Device (SATA) 33 °C

Optical Drives: TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-S223F ATA Device

Audio: High Definition Audio Device

PSU: Corsair CX430

My new GPU Gigabyte RX 460 4GB (GV-RX460WF20C-4GD rev1.1) was running fine for roughly 6 weeks and suddenly I get a black screen, fans are spinning but I get no signal.

This morning my PC was running fine, Avira (antivirus) did an upgrade and Microsoft Visual C+ 2012 was updated too.

After shutting down I rebooted the PC and I received no signal. I replaced the battery, reset the BIOS, restored to an earlier restore point, but it did not help.

My old GPU (HD 5670) works fine, but my RX 460 won't. Any suggestions?
