    GPGPU/OpenCL app = driver crash

    ae00711

recently discovered the app 'MultiPar' (file ECC/recovery etc, find here: https://multipar.eu/  )

I gave MultiPar a try on my desktop, specs as such:

      Windows 8.1 Pro x64
      2x Intel Xeon X5687
      SuperMicro X8DT3
      12x 4GB Samsung DDR3-1333 ECC+REG
      AMD HD7950

At the time of using MultiPar (14/12/16) I was running 16.11.4 (released 17/11/16).
The app ran fine, including it using the GPU - this I monitored using GPU-Z. GPU-Z showed 99% load.
That was just a quick test on my main rig. File ECC was something I wanted on my file server so today (15/12/2016) I installed a spare 7950 into said file server, specs as such:

      Windows Server 2012 R2
      2x Intel Xeon X5650
      SuperMicro X8DTH
      12x 4GB Samsung DDR3-1333 ECC+REG
      AMD 7950

I firstly installed the latest AMD drivers (16.12.1), started MultiPar & GPU-Z.... and driver crash, thus no GPU off-loading. A little ballon bottom right popped up saying something along the lines of 'driver stopped responding and has recovered'.

I then un-installed the drivers & installed the ones I had used on my main rig (16.11.4), however the same happened.

On both attempts to use MultiPar with the different drivers, GPU-Z showed a brief initial load of 64% prior to the driver crash, after which it never showed any more GPU load (0%).

Would really like to get this to work please!
      TIA!
