My FX-4300 CPU when set at cpu clock speed of 3.6GHz and running a few applications, no longer the CPU will over heat and trip the computer.
Now I set the cpu clock speed at 2.8GHz. Why the CPU will be so hot?
Check your CPU cooler.CPU FAN may be stopped or contact between CPU and cooler is bad (reset your CPU cooler and change thermal paste).
Reset (or better update) your BIOS.(maybe wrong voltage).
makes sure you have a chassis fan or 2 installed while you are at it
We have to remind you that.Programs carry trojans and spyware cause AMD processors to generate more heat from the motherboard, graphics card, monitor and CPU.Some programs you may have installed carry a program called Opencandy. So depending on what you added to your system. That is causing the heat. The only other thing that can cause an increase in heat is a poorly calculated Overclock. If your OC is good the temperatures will not be high. They will be minor.
malwarebytes is fairly good at cleaning up crap
