After updating to the latest AMD Crimson ReLive driver I noticed that AMD Settings no longer load on Windows 10 startup.
Is this behavior intended or not?
Can this affect any features?
Thanks in advance.
INFORMATION REQUIRED WHEN POSTING A QUESTION
Oh, sorry for not providing the needed info:
Desktop graphics: MSI R9 380
OS: Windows 10 64-bit
Driver Version: Crimson ReLive 16.12.1
Display Device: Dell U2414H
Motherboard: ASUS Z97-AR
CPU: Intel i5-4670
PSU: Corsair CS550M
The question is as described in the first post - after updating drivers to the latest ReLive version,AMD Settings were removed from autorun. Is this behavior intended and can this affect anything?
Radeon Settings: Host Application missing from the Startup is a known issue and no, it doesn't affect anything. Radeon Settings: Host Application is the same as Radeon Settings when you open it. So when you do some changes in Radeon Settings and then close it or even end the Radeon Settings: Host Application process, all of these settings are still applied.
So without this application I will only be "missing" automatic updates, right?
And what about the application-specific settings?
Yes, I believe so that you are going to miss automatic updates if Radeon Settings: Host Application isn't running on the background.
And those application-specifics works only when you launch the game from Radeon Settings, but you have to keep it open when you are using them.
And here I thought that AMD Settings automatically adjusts application-specific settings even if they are not run from inside the AMD-S. Was I wrong then?
Will this issue be fixed (about the AMD-S not having the autorun enabled)?
Yes, you are absolutely right. So if you have some customized settings in Global Settings, those are automatically applied for every game and doesn't matter where do you launch it. But if you decide to make a profile, and it does have different settings than Global Settings then you have to launch it from Radeon Settings.
Now I see how it works.
However, in my opinion, those application-specific settings should be applied automatically as well.
Anyway, we should wait for AMD to fix that (while we can manually put it in autorun).
Thanks for the info.
I, too, so it was, but I have way to the restor "C: \ Program Files \ AMD \ CNext \ CNext \ RadeonSettings.exe" atlogon
Don't want it, voted against it being auto.
