I have some questions about using an Radeon R7 GPU with a 7850K in dual graphics mode.
It says the 7850K APU integrated graphics has 512 shaders, 720hz core clock, 1024mb (1gb) of memory.
If I add a discrete R7 240 (ex. MSI Radeon R7 240 DirectX 12 R7 240 2GD3 LP 2GB 128-Bit DDR3 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready Low Profile Video Card - New… ), that has 384 shaders, 2gb of DDR3, 730hz core clock, and I enable dual graphics, how much total graphics memory and total number of shaders do you get?
Do I get 1gb APU graphics memory + 2gb GPU memory for a total of 3gb system GPU memory?
And what is the total number of shaders you get? Is it 512 APU + 384 GPU = 896 shaders total?
And what about the clock speeds? Do they run at the same clock speeds?
What if I get a R7 250 (ex. MSI Radeon R7 250 DirectX 12 R7 250 2GD3 OC 2GB 128-Bit DDR3 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Car… ) that runs at 1050mhz core clock? Does the APU raise its clock to match the GPU?
From what I've seen, I am aware that dual graphics mode performance depends on what program you are using.
